THE SCIENCE BEHIND US.
UNDERSTANDING THE SCIENCE.
Before we get into the specifics of the science behind out products, we think it's important to give you some explanations of terminology used both here and throughout the skin-care industry. Then we can get to describing what's unique about what we offer your skin.
We believe it's not enough to have an ingredient "present", it's not enough to have a product full of ingredients if we don't deliver them to the layers of the skin at which they are most effective and no company should blindly throw scientific terms at you, just to keep up with the next.
The Building Blocks.
Let’s start with the basics. This way when you hear us brag about the active ingredients or the % concentration of them that we have in our products, you can better understand what it means for your skin.
Proteins. The building blocks of our skin. You will often hear these proteins referred to individually in skincare, such as Collagen, Elastin & Keratin.
Collagen - The most important and present protein in our skin. Making up 75-80% of our skin, keeping collagen plentiful wards off wrinkles and fine lines.
Elastin - Sounds like ‘elastic’ for a reason. Responsible for our skins structure and elasticity.
Keratin - The most structurally significant protein in skin. Responsible for the structural rigidity of our skin. As well as our hair and nails.
Peptides & Tetrapeptides.
Proteins like those we just covered, rely on their building blocks, Peptides. These are short chains of amino acids. When you hear of products that introduce peptides into your skin, they are essentially helping the structural makeup of it’s proteins.
HOW WE MAKE THE MOST OF THIS UNDERSTANDING.
THE GOAL IS ALWAYS MAINTAINING BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY, STRONG SKIN.
Include a variety of different forms of content. Photographs and videos are particularly important because readers tend to be visual and want to see your product in action.
